Activities
Choir
Our choir program involves students in 5th
through 8th grade. Choir will meet to practice
on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the
school day and perform at several Sunday church
services throughout the school year. There is no
cost for participation in this program.
Band Program
A band program exists for students in 4th
through 8th grade under the supervision of
Luther North High School. Specific information
regarding this program is presented to students
and parents at the beginning of each school
year. There is an annual cost for this program.
Handbell Program
This program is offered as a weekly
before-school activity for 4th through 8th grade
students. Students in the handbell program
participate in our weekly chapel services as
well as designated Sunday worship services.
There is no cost for participation in this
program.
Sports Programs
St. Philip offers several organized sports for
both boys and girls, beginning in 5th grade. Our
school is a member of the Lutheran School League
which is composed of several Lutheran schools
from the north side of Chicago. We regularly
participate in the following sports:

Yearbook
Students in 5th through 8th grade are able to
assist with the annual school yearbook. Students
are involved in the publication process,
including picture taking, design layout, and
editing.
Student Council
Selected students in 7th and 8th grade have the
opportunity to serve the school through their
direct involvement in raising funds and
awareness for mission projects, selecting
charities to receive chapel offerings, promoting
our community, as well as producing Friday Video
Devotions. |
