 WE ARE EXPLORERS

St. Philip’s early childhood curriculum is planned with the young child in mind. It is culturally and linguistically responsive, challenging, engaging, and developmentally appropriate. The curriculum focuses on the development of cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical skills. It builds on the child’s prior learning and experiences. Hands-on activities promote skill development in the areas of literacy, math, science, social studies, art, and music. During “Jesus Time” the children learn about Jesus as their Savior through Bible stories, songs, and prayers. Children have the opportunity to share God’s love with family and friends.

Children learn as they play with different materials provided during the course of the day. Through play children find out about their world and how things work. Play provides children with the opportunity to practice what they are learning. The children learn how to make choices, develop self-confidence, and learn life skills.

Our Preschool serves children ages 2.5 to 5 years old. Children must be 2 years of age by March 1st, 2023 to enroll in our 2.5 year old program. Children must be potty trained prior to the start of school.
