This past week, St. Philip Lutheran School transformed its halls into a vibrant hub of faith and fun! From June 24th to June 28th, the school hosted its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) program, partnering with the energetic team from Camp Ukandu.
The week's theme, "Diving into Friendship with God," invited children of all ages on an exciting adventure. Through a combination of engaging activities, creative learning experiences, and stories brought to life, campers explored the wonders of building a strong relationship with God.
Each day offered a fresh wave of fun:
Interactive Games and Crafts: Campers participated in games that fostered teamwork and creativity, while crafting projects served as keepsakes and reminders of the week's lessons.
Bible Stories in Action: Bible stories were brought to life through age-appropriate skits and activities, making the lessons engaging and relatable.
Making New Friends: The program provided a welcoming environment where children could connect with peers who shared similar values.
In addition to the planned activities, VBS provided a feeling of togetherness. Participants had fun singing, eating together, and forming lasting friendships that went beyond the usual boundaries.
Our VBS crew ended the week by holding an exciting talent show, where campers showcased their skills in playing the violin, performing gymnastics, singing, and dancing.
St. Philip Lutheran School's VBS program proved to be a resounding success. It provided a platform for children to explore their faith in a fun and interactive way, fostering a love for learning and building a strong foundation for their spiritual journey.
